COPYRIGHT LAWS IN TODAY’S BUSINESS WORLD Today 's world is full of competition and copyright are getting more and more attention in today 's business world. Copyrighting a property strictly defines the ways for which it can be used. A copyright holder has rights to permit or allow specific usage of the copyrighted work. In today’s business world, when a company wants its property to go public, they have to make sure that their copyrights are properly protected, and all copyright requirements are met. It is forbidden to make changes to, and sell someone else property for commercial purposes.

For example, in computer ethics (a branch of ethics specifically concerned with the use of computer resources), members are governed by a professional code of ethics in diverse areas of concern which include but not limited to unauthorized access, computer viruses, unethical behavior toward others on a computer network, and software piracy (Webster 's New World™ Computer Dictionary, 2003). Not only that, in software engineering, members are required by ethics to provide the highest standard for the individuals inside the group, and guide their activities in professional work.
