Title The Copper Reaction Cycle demonstrated in the experiment shows that copper can transform into different states of matter, while still conserving mass and returning back to its original room temperature solid state.

Introduction
A topic of allure to many scientists is how high levels of copper intake can result in the disruption of human metabolism, and how it can degenerate the biological well being of ecosystems. The experiment was performed in order to demonstrate that a specific amount of copper could undergo a series of different chemical reactions, and in the end revert back to its original solid state and quantity. A percent yield was calculated at the end of the experiment to display the amount of copper that was lost or gained after the series of reactions had taken place.

The balanced molecular equation for this reaction was CuO(s) + H2SO4 (aq)⇒ Cu(SO4) (aq) + H2O (l).
The reaction of the fourth experiment demonstrated a metathesis reaction and an acid-base reaction. 98 drops of sulfuric acid was added to the solution, which dissolved the precipitant. The color of the solution changed from black to blue and the precipitants of the inorganic compound copper sulfate formed a salt, noting an acid-base reaction. In the process of the experiment bonds between two species of chemicals yielded the creation of products with similar bonding affiliations, which demonstrates a metathesis reaction. The elements of the compound basically interchange. The focus of the fifth cycle was to reform the copper. Zinc mesh was placed into the copper (II) sulfate, which yielded zinc sulfate and the recovery of copper. The balanced molecular equation was CuSO4 (aq) + Zn (s)⇒Cu(s) + ZnSO4
