I have been told numerous times of the significance of obtaining adequate sleep and continuing to exercise during demanding stints of life. However, it wasn’t until researching this paper that I fully understood the magnitude of implementing appropriate sleep and activity into my daily routine. I intend to diligently allocate my time better to insure I give myself additional rest and incorporate further physical activity into my daily schedule. I may still get stressed or feel overwhelmed, nevertheless, I want to give my body the greatest opportunity to be its best self.
To execute my new strategy, I plan to keep a journal that documents how much sleep I get each night plus how much time I devote to daily exercise. This will hold me accountable and allow me to fully see my improvements as well as the areas I still need to work on. There are a myriad of suggestions on ways to promote sleep, such as turning off the TV and avoiding computer screens at least an hour before bed. I intend to adopt those two strategies into my nightly regiment. As for exercise, I aim to integrate additional meditation and yoga into my physical activity.
