The 3 parts of the coping brain are as follows:
1. Reptilian Coping Brain- This part of the brain is the oldest and possibly the most important part. It includes our instincts and is shared among all reptiles and mammals. Fear, aggression and out survival instincts are a part of this part and therefore without it we would not be here.
2. Emotional Coping Brain- This part of the brain allows for emotional attachment, for example: the attachment a mover feels towards her baby and the dependent nature the baby feels towards the mother. This part allows us to feel and display and have emotions that in turn allow us to form attachments.
