For Officer Cody Johnson, it seemed like a normal day at the police station in Poteau, Oklahoma. He did not expect what happened next. After getting a call about a child abuse case, Cody drove out to help without realizing that he was about to encounter his future son.

Officer Cody and his wife, Joy, had always wanted to have children of their own. They loved children, but they had struggled to conceive. Joy's doctor told the young couple that even in vitro fertilization would not help them to conceive.

Because of a few unlikely events, Cody and his wife were able to adopt Michael. Now, he is a gifted student and gets the loving home that he so desperately wanted.

Main:

From the time Michael was just a toddler, he knew that something was off about his family. His father was cruel and beat him when other people were not around. Meanwhile, his mother never seemed to care about Michael. At times, it seemed like she was relieved for his father to have someone else to abuse.

Michael knew that his family was different, and he also knew that something was abnormal about his mind. He was the only person in their family who really loved numbers. When his father abused him, he would count as high as he could and focus on the numbers. As he grew up, he changed this method to multiplication tables and division. He needed something to take his mind off of his pain and sadness.

One day, Michael's dad was playing an online casino game. When Michael peaked over his shoulder, he realized what his dad needed to do to win. Excited, he grabbed the phone and began playing. His father nearly hit him for taking the phone, but then he realized that his son had won the progressive jackpot. Now, Michael's father had won
