Nate pointed out, “hey is that the president of NASA?” I said, “Yeah that’s him alright.” He came up to the podium and started speaking. “On behalf of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration we would like to pick seven pilots to go to Mars in nine months.” “Here are the names we have Kamiron Taylor, Cooper Armstrong, Kody Little, Will Siver, Lucas Missall, Tyson Bently, and Nathan Preece.” They were all shocked. “Please come up to the stage.” We got up and went to the stage. “Give these pilots a round of applause.” “This can’t be happening!” I whispered. A NASA technician came to us and said we are leaving at four o’clock today to go to the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas. They went back to their rooms and started packing. Cooper said, “This is so cool guys!” They all hurried out of their rooms to the NASA van waiting outside the base. The Technician said, “Hop on Y’all.” They jumped on quickly. They got to the airport and boarded a private jet that said”NASA” on the side of the jet in bold letters. The cabin looked luxurious, and it also had a bar. They all settled in and they went for a few drinks. They celebrated for three straight hours of being picked to go to Mars. Everyone went to sleep in their chairs except for Cooper. Cooper went to the cabin to wake them up to prepare for landing. “Hey guys were about to land soon, so get ready.” “Alright dude.” Kamiron said in a tired voice. They buckled up and the jet was getting closer and closer until they felt a hard bump and then the pilot said we have contact. “You kids can unbuckle.” the pilot said. They got their bags and proceeded out of the jet. The pilot said, “Good luck in training and can’t wait to see you kids on Television!” They got into a limo and drove to the Johnson Space Center. There they were greeted by the president of NASA. Cooper drooped everything and went up to him and shook his hand. “It is an honor to meet your sir!” Cooper said in excitement. “It’s great to finally meet you pilots.” The president of NASA said. “My name is Charles F. Bolden.” “Nice to meet you Mr. Bolden.” “Please call me Charles” “Are you sure sir.” “Yes I’m sure” “What’s your name?” “Armstrong sir, Cooper Armstrong.” “My great grandfather is Neil Armstrong.” “Wow, that’s cool!” “Thank you sir.” “Now let’s go take you to my office.” They entered the building, it was bigger than an airplane hanger. They got to his office and sat down. “You have been chosen to launch to Mars in nine months.” “You, Cooper will be the third man to ever step foot on Mars.” Then his adviser came into the office and whispered in his ear. He looked at them and said, “Um, your training has been limited to one week, we need to launch you to Mars on

The purpose of this structure was mainly to hold the prisoners who would be captured by the Confederate soldiers (Cangemi, Joseph, and Cash, 26). As the number of the prisoners in Richmond were continuously increasing, the federal officials realized that they needed to relocate the prisoners to a more secure place with better food provisions. Thus, they chose Andersonville in Georgia as their ideal site for the military prison construction Concerning the structure, the campsite was bounded by the chopped pine of logs that had different heights that varied from 15 feet to 17 feet.…

On September 12, 1962, president john F Kennedy delivered his “why we chose to go to the moon” speech at Rice University in Houston, Texas. The occasion of the speech was to address to the American people the importance of returning to space and being the first nation to place a man on the surface of the moon. Kennedy chose this time to deliver his speech because we were currently at the height of the cold war and the United States was beginning to lose the space and technological race against the Russian nation. Therefore Kennedy appeared at Rice University where he delivered his speech to a crowd that consisted of scientists, professors, students, and the general American people. The context that shaped Kennedys’ speech was the importance of mankind to achieve the near impossible feat of landing a human being on the surface of the moon and the profound impact that this accomplishment would have on the future of the human race.…
