The style of the book as stated earlier is informal and conversational style. An example from the text is seen from the very start when Amanda says that Tom has a “temperament like a Metropolitan Star!” since Tom constantly insults her on her cooked dinner and attitude. This unsettling relationship that has been seen from the very beginning shows that there is always drama lurking around the house. The story evolves from the informal family style to a more formal accuquaince style when Jim steps in. Jim represents the future and helps the family realize that there is more to life than the glass menagerie, old records, movies, and the warehouse. Jim’s personality has given the mere impression that it may mirror how the author is in reality. Along with the personality, the development of the text gives the audience some insight on how the author may not be a deep follower in religion because of how he mocks the Christian
