Even in the most extreme circumstances, art simply has no limit and should never be censored because it is the way an artist can fully express themselves and what they aspire to create. Art it meant to shock and appall, stir controversy and emphasize a different perspective to its audience. Why censor artists that bring so much culture, history and creativity to us? It takes away from the meaning and value. The artist has a right to free speech but so does the viewer; therefore, communication needs to happen within conflict –- not censorship. Censorship is a significant factor that threatens the artist’s cultural space. It is an artist’s responsibility to challenge all and any boundaries.
