Smoking is a topic of great controversy as there is no middle ground exists on this topic. It is very usual to see people covering their mouth while walking in public places. People against it have gone on the streets to protest smoking in public places. We can also see posters in the certain parts of the public places saying, “smoking area” while some says, “do not smoke.” Also, people are getting very sick due to over smoking and it also has some effect on the nonsmoker nearby, known as second-hand smoking. To solve this problems authority are trying to ban the use of tobacco products. However, I do not think this is the best way to solve the problem. Even though it is not a good sign, it is impossible to ban them as a huge number of population are addicted to them. Banning them will only bring more problems than benefit to the society. For instance, there will be violence as the protesters and the group in favor of banning will come face to face on the streets. There would be great damage to the public property and more importantly to the people itself. There could be a civil war between people and government as very high number of people use tobacco products. Also more illegal activities would take place. People would try to sell them at very high price and smuggle them and a whole new illegal market would develop which will increase all kind of crimes. These is not what we want to see. On the other hand, people might say that banning tobacco products could save hundreds of thousands of lives. They claim that tobacco products cause cancer and heart diseases which are life threatening. If so, then fast food also causes heart diseases so ot should also be banned. These are good arguments but does not make sense because it is their personal choice weather they want to use it or not. Also, companies that make tobacco products and the government is taking good enough steps to aware people by advertising the effects of using them. So, people cannot blame tobacco products for the cause. In addition, people might also argue
