Currently no disabled students attend our school because there is no elevator. If we put in that elevator we can have disabled students come to our school and our school would look good for putting in the elevator for kids who are disabled. At Shore Acres There was two kids who went there and were disabled. One was a little boy who was blind, the other was a little girl that was in a wheelchair. If they did not put that elevator in then they will not be abled to go upstairs. The little boy could with assistance but the girl can't at all. This is why we should put in a elevator, for disabled students. With this elevator we can put carts up and down the stairs with no problem. In fact, if a teachers needs to put something really heavy or big in upstairs then they can put it in the elevator and then go get it when it comes back up. Author Mark Kennedy believes some of the greatest inventions were invented because mankind was lazy and not intelligent. I agree with Kennedy’s statement because our laziness provoked these inventions. Our laziness of research on encyclopedias, traveling by foot or boat caused the inventions of the computer, airplanes and cars. These inventions were invented to make humans do less work and make life easier. Places like the mall, to get to the second floor you must use escalators instead of stairs.…

Children who struggle with a physical injury or disability often find they need extra help, and pediatric physical therapist assistants (PTAs) may be the ones to provide this help. A physical therapist assistant works under the guidance of a physical therapist to help child become independent when they suffer from a disability or physical injury. The therapist doesn't take on tasks for the child, but works with the child to show him or her a way they can tackle the job on their own, so they can become more independent and do more for themselves. The therapist assistant works with the child, the supervising therapist, his or her parents and other adults in the child's life to develop an individualized treatment plan, one that meets the unique needs of the child. Often, this therapy takes place in a school setting, thus school therapists are becoming more common.…

The initial design of the lift was to have it separate from the wheelchair. The wheelchair would have been portable through the use of four small wheels on the bottom of the lift. The user of the wheelchair would had rolled on top of the wheelchair through the use of a small ramp. Once the wheelchair was in position on top of the lift it would had proceeded to elevate ten to twelve inches in the air. The user would be able to control the lift with a wired remote.…

One of the places I found on campus that is inaccessible to physically disabled people is Memorial Stadium. Above is a photo of an entry to the track and field. Even though the football team does not play in this stadium any more, there are other teams who practice their like the soccer team and our school band. Which is a reason why it should be accessible to disabled people because someone who is in a wheelchair or on crutches might want to watch and listen to the Band practice, but can’t because they are not able to gain access to the track and field in a safe way.…

Inclusion classes are classes that contain students with and without disabilities. These specific classrooms are made for any student no matter the strength or the weakness in the academic field. Disabled students are now provided the opportunity for education in both public and private schools, but it is unknown about which one is more beneficial for these students. At private schools specifically for disabled students, there is a different curriculum that is considered a “more specialized environment” that claims to further the disabled student 's education. While this can be beneficial, public schools include disabled students in regular classrooms, giving them the opportunity to gain more knowledge and become more educated. Schools in Florida have the exceptional students education (ESE) program, which is a program for students with disabilities that is “designed to strengthen the quality and variety of services available to students…

There are many children disabled children in the United States . They show interest in joining regular classrooms, instead of being in separate classes. There are many different types of disabilities, but if all disabled children become more active and interact with other children it will benefit not only the disabled but also the people they interact with . I know this from research and personal experience with family members with disabilities. School boards should put disabled children into regular classrooms and other activities.…

Bad decisions, makes the best stories. Truitt Odom One way to get the most out of life is to look upon it as a adventure. ~ William Feather. It was summer, one month after my 17th birthday, and, even though I had a lot of great adventures with the people I loved, I still wasn 't satisfied. So I took of work, grabbed my two best friends, Trey and Parker, and we set out on nonstop adventure for 3 days, which led to a Whataburger bill of over $100, running from security, meeting and talking to complete strangers, 4 hours of sleep, killer stories, a run in with the cops, a few tanks of gas, and what would this story be with coming close dying once or twice, I mean its only in my nature.…
