The death penalty is a historic concept founded over 2,000 years ago, yet should it still be used 2,000 years later where lives have changed so drastically? The death penalty is a widely controversial topic as it asks the question if human lives are ultimately subjected to society's laws of having a group of ten or more jury members decide the fate of a human's life. With the death penalty policy, the jury ultimately has the final decision in a human's life whether he or she should be ended for a crime they could’ve possibly not done. The death penalty is controversial in the aspect that the jury members have the final say in a human's life in which they basically “control” the victim by deciding if the victim should go and live their life,
