The following will be a deconstruction of the events that played a big part in causing world war two. WWII was a devastating global conflict that broke out some 20yrs after WW1, even though WW1 was meant to be the war to end all future wars. Yet the same nations were back massacring each other again. There were a number of reasons/factors that lead to the outbreak and hostilities, these factors include the great depression, failure of the league of nations, the rise of Hitler and the Nazi’s, Rise of totalitarianism and the fear of communism, alliances and the treaty of Versailles.

The Wall Street crash was a devastating historical event that occurred in October 1929, the Wall Street stock market plummeted crashing rock bottom, America was soon in the depths of the greatest economic depression in its history. The economy suffered greatly and soon 13 million people were unemployed. America then called in her loans to Germany, this caused Germanys industry to collapse supporting Hitler’s rise to power. Hitler was this “thing” everyone was looking to turn to, he offered the people of Germany hope and soon he was announced the dictator of Germany. Hitler soon began focusing on his military, arming his nation and expanding his empire. Germany was soon getting back on its feet and forming alliances on the way, Hitler convinced Mussolini and Italy to become allies and it was successful. Hitler sent armed forces to Austria in 1938 and successfully took over, the League of Nations was unable to stop him, being triumphant from the first attack he then attacked and took over Czechoslovakia in 1939.
