Continuing space exploration could open up new worlds and new opportunities to us. We owe it to ourselves to search the far reaches of our galaxy to find new resources, so as to continue to grow as a human race.
Finally, it is human nature to explore. From the very first people on earth right up to now, humans have gone beyond their limits. It is what sets us apart from other animals. It is what defines us as human. If we ceased to explore, and expand our horizons, we are denying the very fabric of what defines us. Without exploration we would stop growing as a race, which would certainly spell out the demise of the human way of life.
In conclusion, I understand as a teacher, putting money into our education system is definitely needed, and we would certainly see short term benefits . However, as a teacher, I am also supposed to develop a sense of wonder, and exploration in my students. To stop space exploration would go against that. To continue to grow as a race we need to look beyond our own world. We need to expand our horizons and find new resources, and continue to look for something more.
