Contextuals In The Classroom

One district factor that stood about Fair Play, from my Contextual Factors chart was that partly small proportion of residents from Latino or Asian descent; 1.1 – Hispanic, 0.5 – Asian, compared to its White/Caucasian. Due to this factor, I realize that I will have to make a willful effort to be aware of Hispanic and Asian culture in the United States, how it affects these students, and how to teach my students about different cultures. One possible instructional strategy that I could use in the classroom would be to teach students how to respect and understand other cultures not only because schools can help foster lifelong friendships, but because students will know how to interact with people from diverse cultures throughout life.
