This paper describes the analysis of contemporary views of leadership that influence a leadership style with unique features to influence followers. The concept of contemporary leadership is the ability to evolve as the needs of the organization change. A contemporary leader must have a unique attribute that impact leadership process in distinctive ways. Wren (1995) illustrate leader behavior could be describe by two major factors of behavior. One factor that included items relating to interpersonal warmth, concern for the feeling of subordinates, and the use of participative two-way communication labeled Consideration behavior. A second factor whose items stressed directiveness, goal facilitation, and task-related feedback labeled Initiation of Structure. According to Larksman (2015), in the emerging leadership paradigms, the behavior of the leaders in facilitating the existence and availability of required information and knowledge through such processes as knowledge management can have a significant impact on organizational effectiveness. Where as in the non-dominant leadership paradigm, feminist models of leadership have rarely been delineated or debated in social work. Theory were forwarded as being more congruent with feminine participatory styles of leadership than masculine transactional approaches, they were criticized for not living up to their potential for incorporating women into actual leadership roles and for not giving sex and/or gender serious theoretical consideration (Rao & Kelleher, 2000).
