Containment Lines In A Wildfire

The current wildfires are being tamed currents with with the help of 16 hundred firefighter including people from across the nation. The fires are being contained by crews that are building containment lines. Containment lines are used by the crews to burn vegetation in between them so it prevents any fires to burn in the area. The containment lines are constructed by the crews that dig deep hole using bulldozers. They clear the area by discarding leaves, branches, and plants that could potentially create a fuel source for the fire. Another method that is being used to calm the fires in this dry season is aircrafts and helicopters being used to drop water. Each of the helicopters that are being used to drop water can carry about 240 gallons
