Consumption is the foundation of our society. As part of the society, we all utilize stuffs for our needs, besides without consumption the economy would be drained. Advertising is an integral part of consumption and as consumers we rely on advertisements to help us make better choices about the products we use.Using a subway advertisement along with the article “15 basic appeals” by author, will helps us get a better understanding about the matter.
We all purchase stuffs from clothing accessories, household materials to foods, basically anything,that is to say that we are all consumers. The things we buy are manufactured in a variety of ways and by many different companies. For instance, many places are out there where subs are sold and subway

With that said, advertisement plays a big role in achieving that goal. Hence they need to make their products as much appealing to us consumers as possible in order for us to get attracted into buying it. In doing so they are many steps they could do to achieve that.
For instance, from the “advertisement”, subway used a pretty picture of a sub. This makes the product more eye-cathching and attractive. As the “ 15 basic appeals” article states “ The art of photographing food and drink is so advance, sometimes these temptation are wondrous caught in the camera’s lens. In my ads case the sub picture on the advertisement would make any consumer wanting to eat the sub. It played a physiological role there. Because of so many new products, all around us is advertisements from television, to newspapers, to radio and even buildings walls. This is very important because the more we see advertisements the more informed we would be about products and their competitions. For instance when the new iphone was coming out every corner was advertisement. This permitted consumers to know about the new product and also to look into some information about it. Another example would be for instance when new subways deals were coming, you would hear about it all on the radio at any time. So thanks to those ads more consumers could learn about products therefore more consumers would want to buy the products, which can result in the prices to lower. In addition, the manufactures would have more revenues and would be able to make more products for more us but also make new and advanced one which can be crucial for the future as we can all see with all the new techs. The tv stations and radio stations would not be left out because they too earn a lot of money for advertising the products. This earning makes up the majority of their earnings.
