Introduction
In this assignment, Assignment 2, Reflexive Paper, I will discuss and evaluate three prevalent perspectives about learning and instruction. These are behaviorism, constructivism, and cognitive information processing. As I complete my tenure in the ISLT program, I feel overwhelmed with new information, which will only be truly understood when I apply it in the field. It is very interesting learning and understanding the science of why certain practices are incorporated into learning and instruction. I have seen many of these strategies utilized in the workforce and education. Putting a name to the practice has been very helpful.

The learner functions in a similar manner. Inputs arrive at the CPU via some environmental stimuli, processed, stored in memory, and then outputs are derived from the way that information is interpreted. Like the behaviorist, CPI seeks to understand how the environment modifies behavior. The difference between the two is CPI assumes an intervening amongst behavior and environment. Due to the focus of the classes being learner-driven, the instructor is now the coach or administrator of the learning material. Even though information is delivered in a certain way, the learner has the ability to gain additional information from a variety of means. These can be websites, publications, public libraries, or interviews.
Through this type of environment, without frequent assessments, assessments being materials through which learning can be measured, it will be difficult for the teacher to understand the variety of learning outcomes.
Conclusion
In summation, there are a variety of learning theories, which can be applied to almost any situation. Each has its pros and cons associated with the objectives and measurements. In my opinion, the best theories are those, which are blended to produce the best outcomes. The learning process maybe the same for the majority of the population, but the way that information is moved varies. People are different and that is the bottom line. Some people say “po tay toe”, some say “pa ta toe”. What matters most is having an ID who can accommodate a diverse group of learners in the most effective way possible.
When applied to distance learning, this could be positive or negative. Many people cannot manage their learning independently; therefore they need the traditional
