Research Questions:
The researcher examined teaching styles of four university professors teaching math to future elementary school teachers. The researcher focused on constructivist teaching styles. Constructivist teaching style was described as a shift in traditional teaching methods. Students are encouraged to construct their own knowledge through social interactions and meaningful activities. The study had two primary research questions:
1) What instructional methods are used in math courses for preservice elementary teachers?

Miss Chalk
• Agreed with five of the nine components of constructivism on survey.
• During the observation period, Miss Chalk primarily performed a test review.
• Question and answer first instruction method was observed
• Four of the nine principles of constructivist components were noted during the observation period.
• The observation period primarily consisted of Miss Chalk talking and answering questions, some groups were encouraged Cross-Case Analysis
• Dr. Joiner and Mrs. Group used similar methods to encourage student autonomy and student to student interaction
• Ms. Chalk and Ms. Walker negotiated possible problems with students
Discussion
• Students are at least exposed to constructivist teaching studying at the university.
Aspects of the Research Design we could utilize for Project
My group is conducting semi-structured interviews of teachers and undergraduate students to gain an understanding of the use of technology in the classroom. We will likely utilize a within-case analysis and a between-case analysis, as was conducted in the article. Surveys may also be
