There is a great advantage if the PIM is applied in advance. This is before applying for the building consent or resource consent. The PIM report will help you understand what the council knows about the project and requirements. The council provides you the application form with a certain fees. Then the council will take approximately 20 days to give the PIM report once the application is submitted. By now you will come to know if you require both building and resource consent. Getting a resource Consent
In order to get the resource consent. All applications must be supplemented by an assessment of environmental effects (AEE). Hence, after completing your AEE now you are in a position to apply for resource consent. Application form can be collected from your council or from the website. A relevant is paid for the application. A resource consents officer will mark a report and make suggestion on your application. The council will discard the application and return it within 5 working days if it is not properly completed. The council will notify you whether your application has been accepted or dropped.
