Ever since I was small I would go “work” with my dad and uncle in the house they were building. My dad and my uncle would teach me the proper way to nail and how to measure the studs so when they cut them they would fit exactly where they have to go. Since I was small I would obviously do something wrong, but at the same time I was learning something. Seeing what things could me made with wood really grabbed my attention, and since then, I have kept my eyes on this job. When considering a career in construction technology, the person must consider the working conditions such as diversity, bonuses, environment, etc., but just as important is to get the right training. For example they have to develop and submit bids so they can find a job. Once they have a job the building contractor will oversee the entire building process. They will also work with architects in order to come up with the plans for a project. After this, they will start hiring the necessary personnel for the job. A building contractor must be good at dealing with people because they will work along with other contractors. For example, one day he will be working with a team of roofing contractors, and by the next day, they will have to oversee the installation of a floor tile. This school is located in Harlingen, TX.The population for this college is 8,136 students which 53% of them are women and 47% are men. This data was recorded in the year 2014, furthermore this population makes it a good college to be at. TSTC is striving for inclusivity in their faculty, staff and students as reflected in state demographics; in other words, they must treat other fairly and equably as they would like to be treated. Most of the students in this campus are hispanics. Being around your race will help students to feel comfortable because they will not be be shy to ask questions when they don't understand something. Of course participating in one of their activities will make school more fun and different. You will meet people that can become a lifelong friendship.This makes it easier for non-english speaking students to communicate and learn things faster.
