The United States of America has a constitution, which consist of rights for a citizen. This constitution was created for the people of the original thirteen colonies. The U.S.A fought for it’s freedom from the british in 1775 to 1783. Now they revolted because of the heavy taxes and the men did not feel like they had rights like other englishmen. “Rights” is the key word because these men did not feel like they were treated fair. They felt this way because the men in the colonies did not get asked about raising taxes in the colonies; only the men in the british isles got asked about raising taxes. The men of the british isles in the 1600’s, all they wanted was rights as well. So it took the british a little bit longer to figure it out than the U.S but they came up with a bill of rights in 1689. To my knowledge this bill of rights has similarities to the U.S constitution. So I bring up the United States because for a period of time; the U.S was just an extension of the western world.
So the question why is the constitutional monarchy of england so important I’ll tell you why; it is because this type of government was the first government to give everybody rights. Before the time of the english bill of rights there were no other countries that had all of their citizens have rights. If you were a peasant in France in 1689 you did not have a right, if the king wanted you to be dead for no reason, you're dead. Now that is a crude example of how this bill of rights changed western civilization but in the beginning there was not much immediate change in my opinion.
Most of the impact that the bill of rights had came later on in it’s existence. The bill of rights also introduced voting, now the greeks had done it and other small various governments but not like this. Now a farmer and a lord could both vote, which was a huge change. In my mind the english bill of rights laid the base for in what I think is the greatest type of government,
