The patient’s oral mucosa is pink and dry while the tongue is pink, non-coated and moist. The patient has her own teeth, not including the 4 implants she had placed during her teens after a car accident. The diet is regular with a thin consistency. Swallow is intact; abdomen is round, soft and non-tender. The bowel sounds are active; while generally the patient states experiencing constipation often. Currently, the bowel movements are normal and regular (once every morning, after meals.) One side effect the patient has experience from hypothyroidism is constipation.
