Essay On Moon Landing Conspiracy

Conspiracy Theory Essay The conspiracy that I decided to do is back on July 20, 1969, Neil Armstrong becoming the first man to walk on the moon was actually a hoax set up by NASA. In photographs, it looks to be seen that the American flag is blowing in the breeze even though there is no atmosphere along with the shadows do not match up. Where Apollo 11 landed, there also is no crater, there are too many light sources and the Van Allen radiation belt should have cooked the astronauts, unexplained objects, slow motion walking, and the hidden cables, lack of starts the “c” rock and the backdrop photo. Lots of people believe that the moon landing never happened and that it was the US government asset to their victory over Russia in …show more content…
The one reason that the waving flag, when you look at the photo of Neil on the moon, the flag does know that it 's moving and that is a little odd since there is no atmosphere out there, that is a huge head scratcher just because if they were really on the moon why is it moving. Another reason why I agree with it being a conspiracy is because the claim has it that if they landed on the moon that the crater would be so much deeper and larger than it really is. In the photo, it is not really even visible or ever look like it was moved. Of the 10 reasons that I saw, reading into them really makes me think that maybe the moon landing never really happened. The claims that are being said really make sense, especially if you look at the photos being shown; you see exactly what thousands of others see. It says a lot if so many people feel the first moon landing was fake. I have learned a lot about the moon landing just by the one source I found, sure it is only that one person 's thought but considering many others believe it also it really persuades you into looking into the Apollo mission, seeing the history behind it and how many the US government just wanted to set up this hoax to assert their victory in the space race over Russia since it 's such a popular thing. Though, Michael Rundle allowed me to see things that could steer my mind into believing that it was real. He goes into the depth and sciences that one would want to listen to if they were to look this conspiracy up. Michael’s statements have a lot of understanding to them, especially when he talks about the flag waving and how there aren 't any stars in the photograph, but Josh’s statements on the flag waving and lack of stars also has that understanding. Yes like Michael Rundle says about how the flag was rolled up and how the moon is too bright

Within the documentary The Truth Behind The Moon Landings, theorists claim the whole landing to have been staged with props because of the lack of technology, the multiple light sources, and lack of stars in all photo and video evidence. Many people are skeptical about the Apollo 11 landing on the moon because, in the 1960s, NASA did not have advanced enough equipment and technology. Ralph René, a self-taught engineer and author claims, “there’s absolutely no way they went to the moon with what they had, in fact, there’s no way they can go today, there’s no way they can go tomorrow. You don’t send man where you haven't sent the monkey.”…

President Kennedy gives a speech saying that we will go to the moon “not because it is easy, but because it is hard” (Engle). Less than a decade later, on July 20th, 1969 at 20:17:40 UTC, the Apollo 13 mission put Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin on the moon (“Theories”). The Apollo 11 mission is credited for not only landing a man on the moon, but also for collecting the first samples from another planetary body (SNASM). Through the research, many theories were proven to either be true or false. Prior to the moon landing, scientists had many questions concerning the moon’s surface and even the possibility of life on the moon. I had always been fascinated by modern mysteries and conspiracy theories, but before this class, I had no clue what to accept and how to analyze the information that I was presented to me. I chose the topic of the Moon Landing, because it enabled me to take a second look at the conspiracy theory through a new lens of experience. To understand where this idea of a hoax originates, we need to understand what was going on before the Apollo 11 moon landing. Starting in the 1950s, America was in a cold war with Soviet Russia, which was less of a physical battle and more of a challenge of who had a better structured government. It was a challenge of superiority that eventually led to the space race in 1955.…

The Kennedy Assassination There are many conspiracy theories surrounding the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, (JFK). One of the most prominent, is that lone gunman and communist sympathizer Lee Harvey Oswald, on his own accord, took matters into his own hand and singlehandedly planned and executed the President of the United States of America. Another theory was that Oswald was a pawn in a deadly game of politics and mafia wars and was directed by the powers that be to kill JFK, and in an effort to prevent him from ever exposing the plot, he too was murdered in cold blood. Curiously, the theory that weighs in most heavily is that Lee Harvey Oswald was framed for the murder of JFK. Popular conspiracy theories claimed the “government” was behind it and the murder was in retaliation for a political upset, specifically, the Bay of Pigs conflict in Cuba (Polidoro, 2005).…

On September 12, 1962, president john F Kennedy delivered his “why we chose to go to the moon” speech at Rice University in Houston, Texas. The occasion of the speech was to address to the American people the importance of returning to space and being the first nation to place a man on the surface of the moon. Kennedy chose this time to deliver his speech because we were currently at the height of the cold war and the United States was beginning to lose the space and technological race against the Russian nation. Therefore Kennedy appeared at Rice University where he delivered his speech to a crowd that consisted of scientists, professors, students, and the general American people. The context that shaped Kennedys’ speech was the importance of mankind to achieve the near impossible feat of landing a human being on the surface of the moon and the profound impact that this accomplishment would have on the future of the human race.…
