In the book, January: Conspiracy 365 by Gabrielle Lord, Callum Ormond is on the run trying to discover his family secret that his father left behind before he died. Nine months after his father’s death, a crazy looking man runs up to Cal on the street telling him that “they” killed his father and they will kill him too. He also mentions something about the Ormond Singularity. Cal is very confused by this and begins to become very alert. He is constantly thinking about this “Ormond Singularity”.

When Cal goes to see her he is kidnapped by thugs asking him about the Ormond Singularity. Since he doesn’t know anything they release him and he returns home to find his sister and uncle laying down on the floor, with their house robbed again. His uncle is bleeding from being stabbed and his sister is unconscious but Cal does CPR to get her to breathe. Once she starts breathing, he hears people come in the house and he runs away from the house. Later in a hotel lobby, Cal finds that his picture is up on the T.V. They are saying Cal tried to kill his uncle and sister and they are looking for him. He contacts his mom and tells her what happened but she doesn’t believe him and wants him to just turn himself in so things can be normal again. He can’t do this so has to hide out. While on the run, he discovers more pictures hidden by his uncle and lives in an abandoned house away from society. Boges is his food source and information getter. Cal spends days trying to uncover the hidden messages and finds himself captured one more time. Since he can’t give the thieves the information they want, they throw him in a tank and fill it with oil trying to kill him. This is where the book leaves
