The following are multiple reasons on why PC is the greater option. But let's start with reason one. This being the money aspect of the subject. PC outperforms consoles by such a large gap, it's hard to understand why people would even buy consoles. As stated in reason one, it is possible to purchase or build a PC that greatly outperforms a console, for the same price of a console! At this point, it is really just a scam to buy a console. Now it's time to get complicated. The actual part that mostly controls how you PC or console performs in games is called the graphics card (GPU for short). Technology has advanced so much this year! The new generation of GPU’s this year have made it possible to spend less than $400 dollars and build or purchase a PC that can get double the performance of a console for a cheaper price! And the list goes on and on. But I won't be going that far as the general public does not understand the workings of a PC. I can hear them already, “I don't know how to build or purchase the PC that is right for me!” Don't worry, it really isn't all that complicated. Customizability. The options on PC are truly limitless. From the color of your actual PC, to the internet browser you want to chose to view youtube or whatever you please. This, you cannot do on a console, there is no choosing what color you want you PC or how you get to browse the internet. This is because the companies that run the consoles (Sony and Microsoft) want to give you a very restrictive option on what you do on their consoles, so they can save money. Scummy right? Yes. This is part of the customizability i'm talking about. On console, you don't get to chose what you play your games with! Whether it be a keyboard and mouse, a joystick, a gaming steering wheel, or motion controls. All of the items just listed cannot be used on a console, but can be used on a PC. Including a controller. Going even farther into the customizability aspect, you have the freedom to browse the internet, download programs, make music, videos, and much more. The options are limitless! Once again, the list goes on and on, but these are the main reasons on why PC gaming is the superior
