The promotional objective of Consider the Crown is to educate an audience through various mediums. Consider the Crown will use advertising, publicity and sales promotions to reach the target market. The Consider the Crown campaign wants to show consumers it is committed to preventing brain injuries in the sport of football. It is important for the Consider the Crown campaign to capture the interests of its target market. The campaign will demonstrate a new outlook on the way brain injuries are handled and discussed. Advertisements will be placed in newspapers, on the radio and on television. The advertisements will begin four weeks prior to the campaign and run through its duration. Consider the Crown will be giving away informational brochures at each venue. The brochures will contain statistics, signs, and treatment of a concussion as well as statistics about traumatic brain injuries in football. If a concussion is not found it can cause long term repercussions, so it is important that consumers know what to look for (Sport Concussion Statistics, n.d.). Bobble heads will also be given away to fans as they enter the stadiums. The bobble heads will feature a football player wearing a crown to highlight the focus of the campaign.
