What are the strengths and limitations using the theory for the purpose of designing nursing curricula? Why would you support or not support the use of the theory as a basis for nursing curricula?
Nursing curriculum does not suffer from problems and decrease subjects and courses even now because already nursing curriculum had successful with specific roles, system, and rules in the hospital and clinical setting. Whereas, the main disadvantages of brain based learning is the obligation on the part of both teachers and students (Candela, 2009). Teacher needs more time to create the authentic learning experience, and also student needs more time to prepare learning (Candela, 2009). In the nursing practice, brain based learning makes students to obtain new knowledge and to connect with the previous information, such as by case study. Certainly, every brain is individual and whole brains are not equal, so that some brains could not to solve problems. Also, the brain has the capacity to change by informing. The faculty has to encourage their students to study more time during brain based learning so that students can acquire adequate information about the topic. The faculty has to provide main points and an overview about the topic before details. Also, the instructor has to repeat basic points during brain based learning so that students can remember information about the topic. Students can retain more information in their brain if they enjoy with the
