Conservatism is very important to the creations of governments in the past and in the future. When governments are being made, the leaders look back on the other types of governments and how they worked or did not work and they change it to make it better. Conservatism is one of the best old governments when nobles ruled the lands and not the common people. Conservatism is the commitment to traditional things or ideas. During the eighteenth century, the people ( common ) wanted to have more say in government and because of that, many revolutions happened. France and England were the major powers of the world and for this, they had a huge impact on the world. Since France had a systematic way of doing things in government, some did not feel that this was the best way to go about things. Conservatism is what the French used in the 1800’s. They used this is system because it is that worked for years. Everytime the people tried to overthrow it, the one thing that always came back was the type of government. Even though there were new people in power, the nobles did not want to give it up. This type of government ruled over liberalism. These two types of governments do not work well together. They counter each other out with their ideas on how to do almost everything in government. The people of France are able to rebell and get what they want because the common man makes up most of the country and if the nobles want money or need food then they have to get it from other countries for more. The people of France used this type of government to make sure that things did not happen for example, the nobles get all say and the common man gets none. They made sure that this did not happen again because they finally rebelled and got a say in Parliament. With this new type of Parliament, they were able to keep almost everything else about the government the same which means they kept to the traditional values or ideas of a government. For this to work this well, there had to be rebellion for things to change and things to improve for the better. The longer that something goes on, the harder it is for it to be stopped unless everyone is against it. In this case, when the common man is everyone, they are able to get there way and get power over the nobles who just have the money. Conservatism is a key factor in the rise of the French government for all of the works of arts that were made by romanticism people. All the arts, the country, and the people came together to get this idea of not changing everything about the past, and keeping it the same throughout history is quite interesting. Joseph was able to change people’s views on government from enlightenment to revolution for the power to get into government. If it was not for these three key things, France might not be the same
