Throughout the short story " A Sound Of Thunder," written by Ray Bradbury, is the theme that all actions have consequences. Eckels, who is the main character, is slightly reckless which shows the reader that all actions have consequences. Eckels are seen as a person who doesn't follow directions or listen well. Eckels have also shown the reader to think before you act, to trust your instincts, and how his movements is related to the butterfly effect. the execution occurred against Eckels after they arrived back home. The nonce befall diversified, which eventually resulted in his murder, which was a mistake he made. There are three key points that prove that Eckels was scared. He wanted to attain back his money because he had become scared when asked about the gun's ability to kill but Travis told him he didn't have to worry because as long as you follow directions and keep quiet, then everything would go smoothly as it was planned. Furthermore, on the way there, he had a firm clench on his rifle because he was too afraid to flee to the safari. After the arrival to the safari, he asked the Safari leader about the gun's ability to kill the T-Rex in one sitting. When the Safari leader told him about the gun's ability he became more worrried than he did before. However, with Eckels being scared, which is not the only contrivance that resulted in his death, but he also didn't follow …show more content…
Eckels didn't know what would happen but he didn't worry because he didn't know that he had altered time in the future. Eckels mistake of altering time in the present made him regret his alacrity for what he did at the safari. He saw that the auspice on the door wasn't the same because before he arrived all the words was spelled correctly, but the words were dispelled. Also, he noticed the man behind the counter was the same but slightly dissimilar. After he acknowledged the differences, he had asked the man behind the counter who had become president and it was Deutcher, and it wasn't the same man he had seen before he had arrived at the safari.
