Consequences In Soldier's Home By Ernest Hemingway

In the story “Soldier’s Home,” by Ernest Hemingway, there are a few causes that prevent Krebs from being able to transition back to civilian life. Consequently, one of these issues is that he did not want to come home and face the life and the people that he has left behind. “He did not want to come home” (Meyers, 2017, pp. 159. Moreover, he talks about the girls overseas, and that soldiers do not need to seek them that they will come to the soldiers. Hemingway also talks about the consequences one must endure in a relationship. Expressing that Krebs might have lost or must leave someone he cares about while in the military.
