Reports have shown that workers obtain burns on their hands and face if not wearing protective gear. If workers must wear protective gear therefore fracking is hazardous and not safe for the public. Hundreds of these workers have been injured with burns and are left with scars. to be drilling these chemicals into our ground which may stream into our drinking water, pollute our earth, and make citizens ill. Also the disposal of the water waste is unregulated they just leave it in a ditch out in the open not contained or disposed of. Animals drink this water and become very sick as well, so maybe the hundred eyed squirrel from the Simpsons movie is not so farfetched after all. They begin to lose hair, lose weight, and lose strength all together which will result in their death. Animals are being murdered by this contaminated water if animals are being killed by this think about the effect it will have on humans. Hydraulic fracturing pollutes the environment extremely, then why do corporations decide to further conduct these wells to drill? Why put the public in danger just for more non-renewable resources when Americans could build solar panels, windmills, and water turbine? These renewable resources will remain useful for thousands of year to come and not pollute our environment to keep our home …show more content…
The EPA should be investigating hydraulic fracturing for the people, due to the many complaints about fracking. Despite the Simpsons portrayal of the EPA can actually do some good, by shutting down hydraulic fracturing, but they are not doing anything. The citizens of the United States deserve an investigation; they definitely do not deserve to be exposed to secret chemicals that are being drilled into the earth by natural gas corporations. The EPA has the authority to investigate, but simply abandoned the studies on hydraulic fracturing. The purpose of the EPA is to protect all Americans from all the types of health and safety hazards, but fracking is obviously unhealthy and hazardous for the United States community. Hydraulic fracturing is dangerous to the people due to all of the known, unknown, and well known chemicals that are being drilled underneath our earth. The EPA is not getting involved in these corporations they are allowing these businesses to do whatever they please without the long term effect to our land and people being
