Cons Of Censorship Research Paper

Censorship and freedom of expression have been, and still are, controversial topics. While some may think censorship is a necessity, others are outraged that information and/or images are cut from different media outlets, such as FaceBook, Twitter, or DeviantArt. There are many types of censorship: moral, political, book, film, music, and internet censorship (Harishrustic). Before one can take a stand on the issue of censorship, questions must be asked. What should be censored? Most would answer explicit content such as sex, violence, and gore for things like movies and TV shows (How Media Censorship Affects the News You See). One must explore the benefits of censorship, as well as the detriments, to get the full picture.
Some of the “pros and cons”, as people call them, of censorship in general is that it helps save children from seeing crude and vulgar content.
