My castle is the Schloss Schonbuhel castle in Austria, Germany on the right bank of the Danube River. It is believed that a Roman Fortress stood there at one time before it was built. It was built by Marchwardus de Schoenbuchele in the early 12th century. The castle was used as a defense fortress. The leader at this time for this castle was Ulrich von Schonpihel. He died at the beginning of the 14th century. Because of his death, the family that lived in the castle was extinguished or thrown out of the residence. The next owner of the Schloss Schonbuhel castle was Conrad von Eisenbeutel, but only for very short period of time. Then the owner was Abbey of Melk. In 1396, the castle was sold to the Caspar brothers and Gundaker von Starhemberg
