Being called a kid by the juror number ten, the juror number one becomes very upset and even annoyed, because the connotation of the word “kid” implies that the juror number one is immature person whose words and actions cannot be taken seriously. He is very respectful of elderly people which may be a result of him living with his elderly parents and taking care of them. On the other hand, the house painter might have lost his elderly parents recently; this is why he is so thoughtful and attentive with other elderly people.
