As I was taking the test I realized that the “Key Content Knowledge” are on my graph explains that I am on level 5. According to the chart I am ready in two areas the “Key content Knowledge” area and the “Transition Knowledge” area. The Transition knowledge Is a term encompass a very broad range of activities to support mutually beneficial collaborations. My goals are to study a lot. The days I don’t have school I try to attend the writing center or the math center on my campus to gain extra knowledge and thinking skills. A lot of my time goes toward social media or work and I think its time for me to change that so I wont end up failing any of my classes. My goal is to pass all my courses and move on to the next level so I can be one step closer into becoming an MRI specialist in radiology. My main goal is to really push myself into learning different things and exercise my brain to learn different technics to process information better so I can make it easier for me to learn things. I’m really surprised that I have a really high score on my “Key content Knowledge” because even though I try to stay positive about things in life and tries really hard to not let my learning disability get in my way. It’s really hard to stay positive because of other people putting you down or not saying your not good enough to go to college is really hard. But when I got my results on this chart and it explains that I scored really high on my knowledge it honestly put a smile on my face and made me feel very confident about myself. Every day I have faith that I can and will become someone successful in …show more content…
It’s not surprising to me because growing up I knew I had problems with my learning habits. I really try hard not to let my learning disability get in the way because one of my goals is to prove to people that just because you don’t process information as quickly as others, and because you have a very specific way of learning things doesn’t mean you are a bad person and you can achieve your goals. “Key Cognitive Strategies” is another area on the chart I scored low on. This specific area is similar to the “Learning Skills” section. I recommend students should take this assessment because it can help you a lot in so many ways, but it really can help you to limit and schedule your time each day a little better so you can focus more on your goals .I am very determined to make better improvements to both of these sections and focus on my future career and goals. I really appreciate this assessment because not only does It help figure out what areas in my knowledge I need to work on but it also explains that I need to limit my time each day so I can be more successful. Attending college is one of the biggest decisions I have made in my life but I am very determined to accomplish this goal and make something of

One of the best things to follow a successful path is to set goals for yourself. It is important to keep yourself on task, and to get to a desired point of self fulfilment. As once told by an American inspirational and motivational speaker, “You control your future, your destiny. What you think about comes about. By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be. Put your future in good hands- your own.” (Mark Victor Hansen) Therefore it is imperative to have a set path on how to achieve important goals. I have chosen one goal that I want to accomplish to demonstrate a process known as SMART, to help accomplish it. That is to become a Kindergarten teacher. The SMART steps to follow are: specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound. SMART goals allow you to track your progress while holding yourself accountable.…

Interpreting data from high stakes assessments is key in helping students improve in school, not just on test scores. The very first step is to understand the data. Anyone can look at data, but to actually use it to improve anything, that person must understand what he or she is reviewing. To understand the data, determining “what additional information is necessary to understand student performance” (IRIS Center for Training Enhancements, 2014, pg. 2) is key. Also, in reviewing the data, it is important to understand the students who are taking the test and what disabilities they have. Some disabilities require more accommodations, and all of this needs to be taken into consideration.…

When I eight I got diagnosed with a learning disability. I went through years of intense tutoring and I had double the homework as every other kid. Homework also took me hour and hours every night that I wouldn't go to bed hours later than my bedtime. I developed fears of talking in front of my other classmates for projects and would never raise my hand scared that because I had a learning disability I was stupid and didn't have the correct answer. Through this, I also developed anxiety that made school even worse. However, I have always been the type of person that when I am faced with a challenge I fight to overcome it. I started reading every second I got and started paying, even more, attention to my studies. Let me tell you, it was really hard I was a fourth…

Having the opportunity to be in college fulfilling my dreams is something that in the past felt unreachable. Generations after generations throughout both sides of my family were never able to pursue a higher education. At a young age, I decided I would change that. I began preparing myself, studying hard and always staying motivated. Many times, school was a smuggler, not just due to my visual impairment which makes the simple things extremely hard but also with school and home being two completely different cultures. Doing school work at home many times was hard, especially at a young age due to the fact that some words were foreign to me…

Initially, my educational goals were to go to a community college and transfer to a 4 year university, get a degree, and make a lot of money. Now being at DVC for a semester, my goals have changed because of the many different experiences I had and a few of the clubs I have joined in this school.
