There are things that increase the chances of a child to have congenital heart disease are; the first conditions Genetics, this is a condition that is inherited from both or one of the baby’s parents and is recognised as a type of congenital disease that runs in the family. Down syndrome is the most known genetic condition that can cause congenital heart disease and the children that are born with down syndrome also born with a range of disabilities which is due to the genetic abnormally, about half of all children that have down syndrome also have congenital heart disease.
