What would the outcome on the island be if the Confucius showed up on the island? Would it have been better or worse, would the boys behaved better or worse? When Piggy and Ralph say something they know that it will affect other people in certain ways. If they want anyone to do something instantly then they would do it. When Jack treats other people poorly or is bossy towards other people it affects them. If Jack is rude to someone it is going to make them feel upset. If Confucius would have shown up in the last part of the book it would have been a well run place because of his wise actions and thoughts it would have turned out better. Confucius believed that if "'Good government comes from the ruler being a ruler, the minister being the minister, the father being the father, and the son being a good son."' 24 If Ralph would have kept a good government on the island than half of the awful events that happened would not have. Ralph should have kept everything more organized and professional, and if he did then it would have gone much better.
"'The superior man governs men according to their job, with what is proper to them, and as soon as they change what is wrong, he stops."' 25 said Confucius meaning that if everyone knew they were mean they would stop. When Jack would always say rude words, no one would stop him and he would just keep saying the rude words. If he would have actually realized and someone let him know how rude he was being then he would maybe stop. This is true wisdom."' 27 Ralph is a smart character in this book he has a bunch of wisdom and tries to show it and sometimes it goes over well but it also doesn't.
