Shu Ching, Shih Ching, I Ching, Ch'un Ching, Li Ching are the Five Classics. Shu Ching which translates to Book of Documents is a collection of documents and speeches from the later Han Dynasty. Shih Ching translates to Classic of Poetry. This Classic has 300 poems and songs from the Chou Dynasty. I Ching or Book of Changes is a book that consists of a set of 64 hexagrams that reflect the relationship between Yin and Yang in society and nature. Ch’un Ching translates to english as Spring and Autumn Annals.This Classic is said to be compiled by Confucius and are extracts from the history of the state of Lu. The last Classic, Li Ching translate to Book of Rites and consists of three books on the Li.
