Throughout the book, Pegues uses scriptures as support her opinion on personal conflict and confrontation. In the beginning, Pegues breaks down the difference between confrontation and retaliation. In the beginning, I did not know if I would enjoy the book. Confronting others is not a characteristic of someone who is as introverted as I am. If I could change one thing about the book, I would re-make a book geared towards cultural and religious sensitivity. As I read through chapter three, I noticed the author reflected on the disappointment of an accommodating supervisor.
As a manager, I feel that some situations cannot be resolved between two parties. In this case, I would not recommend employees to resolve their conflict among themselves before notifying a manager. I feel a manager should be kept into the loop always. In my opinion, a manager should be aware of all confrontation within the department, as it could possibly affect employee morale and
