Conformity V.S Non-Conformity The world needs conformists and nonconformists in order for society to agree on choices. Without conformity, society would never agree on anything and we could never solve any conflict. Without nonconformity, society would never have any diversity and life would be boring and there would not be any changes in us humans if there isn’t any differences around then just being the same. The conformist “Boxer” was a naive and ignorant horse who is willing to follow all of Napoleon’s rules and laws according to the 7 commandments that the animals and Old Major organized. The nonconformist “Rosa Parks” who did not give up her seat to a white individual in the bus. The world needs both of these concepts in order …show more content…
The positive effect of Boxer’s conformity was that the farm’s windmill was built and the farm was mostly built with Boxer’s strength and his will power. The farm would have never been able to survive without Boxer. Without conformity, the farm would have never been ruled by the animals and the rebellion would have never started and Mr. Jones would have still ruled, but with the help of conformity; the animals conformed together to overthrow Jones and his men. The negative side to Boxer conformity was that he overworked himself to death. Boxer just listen to Napoleon until Boxer could not work anymore and Napoleon just sent Boxer to the Knacker to get money. Conformity made Boxer so blind, that eventually conformity killed Boxer. She was considered one of the major people ending segregation. Parks nonconforming help further push the ending of segregation with Martin Luther King Jr. Parks bravery and courage allowed her to stand against in what she believe in and help other people stand with what they believed in. Rosa Parks had many hate towards her but she was given the NAACP'S highest award and she was given a Martin Luther King Jr. award.
The world needs both conformity and nonconformity in order for society to exist. The world needs people like Boxer and Rosa Parks because it balances the world’s choices. Without people like Boxer, society would never agree on anything because people will rebel against each other. Without people like Rosa Parks, society will never have any changes to it and everyone will be a brainless human not thinking for themselves.
