Introduction Growing up I made choices referring to the majority thinking of a group. As I got older, I became aware of "group thinking". I am confident in making my own choices and decisions in groups because of my line of profession, which I am required to voice my opinion or suggest new ideas. Today I am more confident to make my own decisions without being persuaded by "group thinking". However, in my personal life, it can be a bit more difficult to set your foot down and make an impartial decision or choice. We deal with conformity to groups on a daily basis, whether it 's a small group or a large group. Enlisting in a military branch will instill discipline, motivation, and pride. You will meet people in the military with similar goals who will motivate and drive you to become better and always seek self improvement. This type of conformity will improve your daily life, change your perspective on challenges, and will influence you to also help others achieve their goals. Another positive group is the Salvation Army. This group 's objectives are to relieve poverty, support education, and other charitable objects. This group brings many positive influences and sends a great message to communities. The group will instill an optimistic attitude which can lead to a more positive and emotionally healthier life.
