In the short story, “The Possibility of Evil”by Shirley Jackson, the main force of conflict is Man vs. Man. Mrs. Strangeworth has a secret hobby that nobody knows about. She writes anonymous letters with insulting comments or harsh rumours. One day when she went to go deliver her letters, one slipped on the ground. This letter was addressed to Don Crane. Don Crane is a father to a 6 month old baby and is married to his wife Helen Crane. Helen crane was talking to Mrs. Strangeworth about how she thinks her baby might be a bit delayed and Mrs. Strangeworth told her not to worry. She later wrote a vulgar letter about the baby saying the baby is an idiot and that some people should just not have children. This letter was the one that was delivered
