Conflict In Rob Hall's Into Thin Air

There are plenty of conflicts in writing, one of them is when people fight with their own self conscious and another is when Nature fights with them. Some of these conflicts can be won, they can be conquered, but some are just too horrible to even imagine. Some make their way into your mind with choices you make. Some just happen to people without the having anything to do with it. Either way, how would you feel if you had to make the choice to either die or make your friend’s dream a reality, or if you were left for dead in an unforgiving landscape? For Beck and Rob, they had to make these choices, see these things. They will never forget how and when they went wrong.

This is one very well-known form of conflict. This type was seen in the book “Into Thin Air”. Rob Hall, the leader of the Adventure Consultants team and Beck Weathers that was one Rob’s team going up the the summit of everest. Them against them, Rob had troubles coming up with an exact turnaround time and expressing that time to his clients before the long haul all the way to the summit on May 10th., this caused a lot of confusion for

Lots of people say that the trek on the way down the mountain is worse that on the way up, this held true with Beck Weathers who found that he could not go any farther once him and his group made it to the “South Col”. He was left lying in the snow overnight and throughout the next day in the cold snow and wind. Being left for that long you start to feel nothing, no pain, but that does not mean you are not in it. People that were at camp went back for him but beck was said to be dead and left out in the snow to freeze solid, he was alive in his mind. He saw his family, his kids, they told him to get moving.
