For instance in sophocles Oedipus Rex we see Man vs Himself. Oedipus must battle his own impetuousness, hubris, and consequences of his actions. This is conflict because god has declared since Oedipus birth that he would do certain acts in his life. These are shameful acts. One is that he would marry his own mother, which Oedipus actually did. Also He would kill his father. As time go by Oedipus gets into a scuffle with a man on the road and kills him. This turns out to be his own father. Because he does not know Jocasta is his mother, Oedipus ends up marrying her and inheriting the kingdom and produced offspring with her. It seems the more Oedipus tries to avoid his fate it comes to him anyway.

The prophet tells Creon that that Creon has offended the gods by leaving the body unburied and that if he does not yield and bury the body, and unburied Antigone, bad things will happen to him. He warns him that he will lose his son .However pride and a will for power kept Creon from following Tiesreas demands.
In Hamlet we see many conflicts throughout the play. A conflict in Hamlet is madness in craft and madness indeed. Ophelia and Hamlet both display symptoms of madness. After hamlet find out his uncle is the murder of his father Hamlet started to act as if he mad and insane but he wasn 't . He began to do outrageous things towards Ophelia and his friends. Ophelia the became mad indeed. She became mad because of the way Hamlet presented himself. She loves Hamlet but she 's treated horribly by him. Hamlet has completely rejected her for no reason.
Also we see in the very beginning conflict. Hatriot didn 't believe whether the ghost was real or
