Setting is a very important factor in the whole storyline. Each strategically set location has an impact on all of the events that occur throughout the story. If the location was different at one point in the story, then it would take a different turn that what was originally in the story. I think that is what keeps me wanting to read books like these. I think this because there are twists and turns at every turn and goes at a very fast pace, making it fun and interesting.
Coming out of big units in class when finding themes in various texts, I decided to find some in this book. Themes can be found in this book are journey, death, mystery, perseverance, dependence and trust.
This whole investigation in the book is one big journey, or quest, to find the truth. At first, I thought that it was just that, but looking at it a little deeper, this journey also leads you to find your true self. Many people go through drastic changes in the book and I now understand that many things won’t only have an effect on a society, but also on the certain individual.
