A conflict is an argument or a disagreement, some class of contradictory situation. Literature divides conflicts in two types, internal and external. The internal conflict is centered in a person’s own self and what happens inside of their mind, led primarily by their morals and values. The external conflict occur when there is a struggle between a person and external aspect, something or someone besides themselves. Two different personal experiences, one of each type of conflict, will be presented next.
Transferring schools is not simple, moving to another country is not easy, but changing schools and moving to another country is terrifying. I, myself, as a person who has done both, in such a ridiculously short period of time; feel as I am entering a completely new world where there are no safe curves I can take. I have been coexisting with the same people for an eternity, some of them I could even call family. I reached a point where knowing every classmate better than themselves, talking to the teachers like they were my uncles and aunts, and all of them actually loving me, was not strange at all. Not to be gullible, but it was actually like that. Having the best grades I could possible get, being the better me I could be, just then I felt comfortable, confident, strengthened. So essentially, my external conflict is generated by the struggle I have with this new school I’m attending now.
