One similarity I noticed between the Chinese and the Native Americans was their conflict with the White Americans. Both of these groups experienced intense racial hatred from whites americans. Both were pushed and restrained to certain living areas as well; the Chinese into chinatown ghettos and the Natives Americans into reservations. Furthermore, these groups were both subjected to mass killings and racial massacres. In 1871, an estimated 17 Chinese were attacked by a mob of white men in downtown Los Angeles. The Chinese people were torchered and hung, becoming one of America’s largest lynchings.
