Medical personal is bound to a confidentiality vow to all the patients, that it’s why this case can present an ethical dilemma for a health care worker. Telling to a friend that the person he is dating is HIV positive would break this confidentiality vow between the health care worker and the patient. Patients have the right of confidentiality, but that is not the only thing that we need to consider when making this type of decisions. I think that there are many reasons that will justify sharing the patient’s information with my friend.
