An example of this is, care settings using the right language when speaking to patients. This care setting is used in a care setting by getting respect from others and with privacy, autonomy and control, with self-respect and with a sense of who they are. This care value could support an individual by making them have self-esteem and build their self-confidence. This will make the patients feel very confident with who they are and feel comfortable with other people. This care value is important in our workplace as we need to make sure were treating our patients as being of worth, in a way that is respectful of them as valued individuals and making sure our patients are treated equally, regardless of their age, race, culture, gender, sexual orientation, health status, disability, religion, social background or political conviction.
